Thanksgiving

I didn't take any pictures of our Thanksgiving day, but I wanted to make sure that I posted about our fun day.

This year was not like any year we have had in a long time. This year we had a quiet, fun filled day with the family. It was actually WONDERFUL!

First I got up and put the turkey in my roaster pan, then we went off to the gym so that Loren and I could get a walk in, then we went to Sports Authority to check out some new tennis shoes for me, since I haven't bought a new pair since 1997, I am guessing I was well overdue! After wards we got home about noon, Loren started rinseing fruit, that I've later found out from viewing Dr. Oz that we didn't rinse off nearly enough to clean the fruit. I took a shower and then got to work in the kitchen, setting the table with our fine china, and crystal glasswear. We ate in the formal dinning room too.

At two oclock we sat down to a very sensible filling meal, and at 3 Loren was loading the dishwasher, while I was putting food away. After Loren and I took a 45 minute nap, we set the alarm to make sure we didn't sleep longer. Then we went in and played some Wii with the kids for an hour or two.

After we watched a movie, had some sandwiches for dinner and watched another movie. The day was one of the most relaxing days I've had in years.

What I am thankful for:

I am thankful for my family first and formost.

I am thankful for those men and women who preserve my freedom

I am thankful that for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and the knowledge I have of its truthfulness.

I am thankful for my eight beautiful grandchildren and for our new little one coming in January, she will be a welcome addition to our family!

Random

In July Loren and I went to the local Air Force Base to renew my military ID card that seems to expire every 4 years. While there the kids wanted us to take some pictures of them. So, this is the result.

Trick Or Treat

We went trick or treating with some of our neighbors, we had a great time. The kids made out like bandets!

Decorating Pumpkins

I know this post is late, but hey, better late than never I say! Here are the kids carving their pumpkins.

Still looking

This is the Toyota Sienna van, which is very nice. The ride is awesome. This is the Honda Odyssey van both are 2011's. Both ride good and have feathers that I like from both.

So, for those of you who have wondered if I got the van...the answer is not yet. Loren and i are currently going to wait until after the holidays...though that would be a pretty cool Christmas present.

I am now undecided between the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna vans.

Connor's Award

Connor has made such great strides this year, he is doing very well in school. He got an award for all his progress.
On a side note, I remembered to charge my camera battery, but I forgot the memory stick in the computer, so I had to delete all the pictures (all two) that were on the internal part of my camera. Loren at least could take two pictures of Connor.

Mamma's

Laura and her two bestfriends from high school. Laura, Brittany, and Katie. These three were so fun to have around when they were growing up. Now look at them with their babies. A funny story ...laura talked Katie into having #2 with her, only Katie got prego before Laura, but Laura is due in January. They are all three such cute mom's!

Aubrey thought this bunny was funny because it was big and gray just like me..not funny, I'm not gray!

Aubrey WON!!!

At the halloween party, they had a contest to eat the donut off the string. Taylor's fell on the floor after awhile, but Aubrey won the whole contest..she's a girl after my own heart. She was so poud of herself.

Lack of blogging lately

I have been trying for weeks to add more posts, but I couldn't get any of my pictures to attach. I think I solved that problem by only posting a couple pictures at a time. It takes longer, but at least it works!

The Pumpkin Patch

We always love going to the pumpkin patch. This year was not any different. The kids love picking out their pumpkins, we got carried away with how many we wanted. The kids just kept finding ones that looked good.
