This summer we are staying pretty close to home with some short trips. The first one we took was to Utah the beginnig of June, for a few days. All the pictures are on my phone, because at that time my charger for my camera was missing. I ended up buying a new charger so we're back in business, its been missing since March! So, my June vacations stuff will be out of order.
We planned a vacation months ago to Yellowstone, we have a timeshare there so we went up there and stayed for a few days. It was so fun! On our way we decided to go in two days since it was a 11-12 hour day. So, we drove up to Wyoming and went to see Martins Cove a historical church site. We were in awe of the history there and learned so much, we thought we knew. Then we stayed in Riverton Wyoming a small town, but the biggest in the area. Then the next day we drove into Idaho and went to Rexburg and Bear World, that was a BLAST...so low key, but the kids loved it, heck I loved it.
On the way home, we went through the park to the south entrance and past the Flagg ranch/resort. Back to Riverton, Wyoming and then home. Our trip home was much faster than going to Yellowstone. The trip was to fast, we had a great time in the park, we saw lots of Buffalo, everyday. We looked hard for bears, but no show for us. We saw a fox, a cyotee and lots of moose, elk and of course Connor found a snake LOL! Just a water snake, but he was in heaven!

Martins Cove
We would be bad pioneers, that was hard to pull even around a small path.
Loren got in the handcart so the kids pulled him. I thought it was hard before wow!
Aubrey and Connor ride now, Taylor didn't wan to.
oh no a good picture but its all I have!
Devils gate, where the snake river flows through the rock!
Indepenance Rock, the pioneers did well when they reached this by July 4th, but the Willy Martin Handcart Company didn't read this untl October.
The sun was beating in their eyes!
We went to the Morman Pioneer Trail path of Martins Cove, this is historic for all the lives that were lost in a snow storm and when familes were so low on supplies. It was peaceful here and and a far cry from the snow storm that the pioneers had at almost 100 degrees.
