Once a dining room, now our school room!

We decided we needed a school room/study room. So, we moved out formal dining room set out of the room and in we moved tables for the kids so they could have a computer and a place to work. This is what it looked like before and after!  I was originally going to sell it, but Loren had me remove the add. I'm so glad I don't have to sell this, I LOVE IT~~~

 The kids working hard!

I don't make them do everything on that table, I allow them to over around the house. Aubrey loves to do her math on the couch and since she is good at it, we are allowing her to do it where ever!
We have piano practice daily and lessons once a week for each of the kids. I also added my American Flag I've had to the piano. I love it!
We keep adding things to help the kids. I have maps of the US and the world to hang on the walls. School has been fun! We have loved setting up our school. I feel so blessed to be their mother and to be their teacher.

So far so good!

We are now two weeks into our home school. I have ordered a lot of text books for the kids. I have had so much fun with the kids. We are moving furniture tomorrow when the kids are done with school to set up their school room because the rest of the books and our maps are going to arrive Tuesday. I am very excited about this room!

We have put together boxes for each kids (file storage container). Each have pendiflex folders with each subject, so that their papers can be stored easier. I have a few things I need to still add to the room like a large file cabinet. I have one in Aubrey's room, I need to clean it out and move it into the school room. That way I can organize the curriculum and what I use when I find things on the Internet. I can recreate it if I need.

I am loving spending time with my kids. My best friend Rhonda said when is it ever a bad idea to spend more time with your kids. She's a wise mother, who has 9 children and homes schools all of them.

I am so thankful for everyone who has supported me in this endeavor, it has been a great undertaking, yet it has been something so powerful I know we have done the right thing.
