Driving home from Utah
This picture reminded me of a fresh new day! A new start to the year.
After we drove to Utah for the week between Christmas and New Years, to help Laura get ready for the new baby...our drive home was an adventure. The blowing snow over the road made it at times impossible to see what the road condition was about. There were snow drifts in the road, at one time the drift was as high as my bumper, I did not get a picture of that, because I was too busy trying to maneuver the car around the drift. We were happy to arrive home safe and sound.
Getting caught up
Poor Parker was run over by Aurellia who is fearless on the hills...it was a total accident, but he ended up with a fat lip and both sides of his nose was bleeding. Poor little guy, he was having so much fun too. Though Sariah got knocked out 4 times by adults sledding too fast, and running into kids. She was very lucky that she wasn't hurt more than just a cut on her chin.
After we went sledding, we all went back to Laura's house for hotchocolate and cookies. I had made cookies before we went sledding, then I had made some taco soup for dinner...after we warmed up a little with Cookies and Hot Chocolate, we ate some warm soup...YUMMY!
This getting caught up on my blog is proving to be tougher than I anticipated. I have been busy with other things and school, I just haven't taken the time to sit down and update...so I'm attempting again!

Sledding on New Years Day
On New Years day we went sledding with all the grandkids, Matthew, Saundra and the kids drove down to Laura's and we took all the kids sledding. We had a fun time. The kids were all having a super fun time, until Parker got taken out by Aurellia near the end of our time. He got a fat lip, and a bloody nose on both sides. Then Sariah got taken out not once, or twice, but four times by older kids and adults. Other than that, we had a fun time!
Behind
I am behind on all my blogs...such a sad thing, when I was so caught up before. I will attempt to catch up on my blogging...if not all tonight, soon!

Christmas Eve
Paying Respect
Over The holidays we were blessed with the opportunity to drive out to the cemetary and put a wreath on the grave of our dear friends parents. This is a wonderful opportunity for the kids to remember to pay their respect to someone who lived before them. This is also a way to help them understand death and to serve someone even in death. My dear friend Bonnie's mother and father are buried in Denver, she lives in Utah, so we are very happy to go put flowers and weaths out during special times. Loren and I actually knew Bonnie's mother so we feel like she's family. Thank you Bonnie for allowing us this opportunity.
