So, over the last year that we have had the children, Loren and I have contemplated to get a new car or finish our basement, both we need because we have the kids. Well, the last few months Loren's 97 Ford Ranger and his 98 Honda Civic have needed work and neither are in great working order without some seriously expense. So, now we've decided instead of starting the basement in January we'll be needing a new car sooner rather than later. Because we keep our vehicles many years, we are looking at buying the Honda Odyssey van to replace Loren's two cars. He will then be driving my Honda Accord. We have been looking at every way possible to save money when buying a car, and yet get something that will last us until Taylor graduates. So, we found a 2010 model of the Honda Odyssey van that is new, had everything I want on it, to include the Rear Entertainment System know on hondas at RES. However, I started looking at the new 2011 models and ohhhhhh they have a nice design. I like some features on each and they of course do not have all the same features.
So, I think we have the one picked out as long as it doesn't sell. Its a 2010 Black Odyssey with grey interior, and Navigation and Rear Entertainment System. Because its a 2010 we can get a great deal on this van! We drove to the lot the other day and the one I really wanted it, a smokey grey color was sold, but this one has all the same equipment. Now its a matter of when we're going to do it. I can't wait to post pictures of my new car!

My blog
A week or so ago, I thought I would change my blog back to the original format, in doing so I lost EVERYTHING I had spent years adding to my blog, such as my list of friends and family. I had no other resource for checking out my friends blogs. WELL....I was heartsick, not only could I not get that back, but I also could not figureout how to at least put a background on my blog. WHEW, this morning I decided I was going to figure this out once and for all. SO, I did..as you can see. Sort of figured it out that is, I still can't see my background in the forfront, just the background. So, I need to work on that, but for now, I am not messin with anything else so my blog doesn't disappear again.
So, happy to be back! I can't even tell you how happy I am!

High Priest BBQ
On Saturday we went to a BBq for the High Priest. At the BBq they had hay rides, buggy rides and horse back rides. The kids had a blast. The food was good too, but the conversation was great!
Connor was so excited to ride the horse he was the first one to ride.
Look at how happy he is on that horse.
Connor is roasting a marshmellow, not taking a leak, it looks bad, but its all good. See the tractor in the back ground, that was pulling the hay ride.
Aubrey was in heaven, she didn't want to get down.
She's a natrual
look at that fun view...such a fun plan to ride.
Katie was kind enough to walk all the kids around so they could ride a horse.
Although excited to get on the horse, she was scared out of her mind.
She didn't go far, but she loved being on the horse after she got going
yep thats all the farther she went. She had fun and thats all that counts.
Loading all the tables and chairs after the bbq, the first time all the tables and chairs fell off, so they had to start over.
There ya go, its on good now.
Love the country
To think this is only 2 miles from my house
Pack Meeting
For Connor's pack meeting, they had a contest between parent and scout. We had a fun time, here are some pictures of the night. Connor and Grandma in the competition
Taylor trying her hand at flying the plane
Aubrey and Connor waiting their turn to score!
The paper plate plane. The kids had a blast with it.
Connor was actually pretty good, he scored a lot of points.

Our 30th Anniversary Weekend!
On our drive to Steamboat Springs, Loren saw this cow and thought it would make a good picture for the kids. So, we stopped and it is a great picture!
We rented the presidential suite, so I took lots of pictures, we probably won't do it again until maybe the 50th, so I wanted memories.
This TV was so high on the wall, that every time we watched a movie, my neck killed me.
One of the fun parts of the Presidential is that there is a hot tub on the deck...we were on the 3rd floor so this felt seriously private
Taylor is always full of conversation, she loves to talk!
The kids room
The bedrooms were upstairs.
We went to Cold Stone on Saturday for a special treat, then went back to the condo and watched a movie.
We stopped in Kemmerling on the way home for a picnic in the city center. We got all the fixings out and started making sandwiches...then the BEE's came to visit
Loren and Connor played catch
After the bee's everyone scattered, Aubrey and Taylor eventually ate in the car.
The leaves were changing, the drive was beautiful
The little town we had lunch
