July 10th I finally graduated!!!

Our little family group shot..
I'm not a fan of picture taking with me in it, now I know why.
Loren and me
with my mom and my dad
Me and my daddy!
My mom, me and my dad
After the ceremony the kids gave me flowers
Two ladies offered to take our pictures afterwards, one had mom's camera and one had mine...you can see we were all confused where to look!

After 4 years at the University of Phoenix I finally finished my undergraduate education!  My degree is a Bachelors of Science in Human Services, what can I do with that you ask?  Well, I can get a Masters in Counseling or a Masters in Social Work...I start  my masters program on July 26th in Counseling, the degree will be a Masters of Sciences in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. I prayed long and hard about what program to go into, this was not an easy decision for me. After much prayer and checking out many programs. I chose the University of Phoenix for a few reasons, the first was it is right by my house, the 2nd reason was that after searching the job prospects for the type of job I want working with military families I realized for my license it either needed to be Social Work or Marriage and Family those are the only degrees that the Military recognizes other than Psychology and I'm not looking at doing a PhD...yet. I decided to jump at the chance to start school and get into this program, as it will be the last MFT to start at my campus forever!  They are opening up a mental health counseling program in October. I originally wanted to start that program, but after looking at degrees and what the military would accept, I realized that I better start this now. I'm very lucky to have a supportive family and a husband who allows me to pursue my dreams!
