Christmas Vacation Trip to Arizona Dec 21

In December when the kids went on winter break from school. We took a vacation to Arizona to see Jonny, Renee and Paityn. We had origionally planned to drive down through New Mexico and over to Phoenix. Two days before our trip, Southern Colorado and New Mexico got a blizzard that closed I-25 down for two days. The morning we were due to leave we quickly changed plans and instead took off through I-70 up through the Mountains of Colorado, and down into Moab Utah. We had a great drive, no snow and literally there was no snow anywhere, the mountains in Vail were making snow. We spent the night in Moab at a La Quinta, which was a very nice hotel, very clean. The next day we drove into Phoenix, Flagstaff and more snow than Vail Colorado, that was funny to me. These are some pictures of our South/East Utah drive. We loved the rock formations.

This year the kids were asked to be part of the Christmas play. They were Shepherd's. This year the Christmas program took on a whole new meaning for our family as two of our children were came to the realization that Santa wasn't actual. This play helped them understand the true meaning of Christmas, it was beautifully done and the music was amazing.

Pumpkin carving days

The kids carved their pumpkins that we drove all over to find. I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins this year, but all the places around here were just pumpkins hauled in, so depressing! So, we ended up at one of the grocery stores and found three great pumpkins! We didn't take any pictures of costums this year, I am not sure why, and if we did...I have not found those pictures!

Rock Climbing

since the kids had done so well in school, as a reward we took them rock climbing at the gym. They had a great time!

The Pumpkin Patch

I went with Taylor's class on a fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch, we had a great time...

Our 31st Anniversary

We went to Steamboat for our Anniversary, we were able to stay in the Presidential at our Timeshare. The benefit for the presidential is the hottub on the deck!! love it!

Spirit Week/ Inside out day

Inside out day was fun, the kids wore their clothes inside out.

Spirit Week/ Twin Day

In September the school the kids go to had spirit week, one of the days was Twin day. Aubrey and her best friend Lindsey had the same dress so they wore them for Twin day!

Aubrey's offical party with her friends!

Aubrey turned 10!! The third time is the charm, She had three birthday parties and the one with her friends was her favorite, we did a spa party. The girls had a great time, they made their own pizza and then they danced on some with Wii. The girls had a fun time!!
