The Plan of Salvation

It was Aubrey's turn to present Family Home Evening, and she had recently had a lesson at chuch about the Plan of Salvation. So, she got the white board out and proceeded to draw us the whole plan, and while she did she taught a very detailed lesson about how the plan worked. Loren and I were so impressed that a nine year old would come up with such a beautiful lesson and be so detailed. Aubrey is so wise beyond her years and she is such a spiritual giant. I'm so thankful for her and for her ability to teach and remind us all of the importance of Gods Plan!

Stitches

The kids and I went out to Utah for spring break, an annual activity we do and love it. This year we were there for Laura's birthday. As I was cutting lettuce for the salad for dinner that night. I was busy, Laura walked in and asked me a question right when she asked, I sliced my finger. I was so worried what I would do, because we have out of state insurance. I spend the next 4 hours completely worried about how much an ER visit would cost me, plus I didn't want to ruin her special day. Low and behold after dinner and we headed back to Laura's I told her that I needed to get my finger looked at. We went to Insta Care, the doctor took one look and said oh you need stitches. But even before that, the font desk were so nice, they took my usual copay of $50 and billed my insurance for the rest. I was so happy!!!!! Then I went back to have my vitals taken and she said my blood pressure was 149/99, I was SHOCKED, I told her that was wrong to do it again. Laura just laughed and told the nurse not to worry about it. My blood pressure has never been ever over 110 EVER! I knew that was wrong, but that lady would not listen to me, just Laura. She kept telling me all the worrying I did and all the blood and trauma caused my blood pressure to go up. I tired to explain that even through a Toxema pregnancy I had never had my blood pressure reach more than 110. Oh well, nobody cared, and just gave me a nice block shot in my finger, which numbed from the knuckle down, then he had to give me a couple shots in the cut...YUCK...my finger was numb for two days after! I survived, but Laura told me I was a little baby. I thought I was putting on a good front, but I suppose I missed the boat. It hurt so bad!

Broken Hearted

I am absolutely broken hearted. I have not cried this much in a very long time. Tonight I found out Danielle our 2nd child had her baby, which she gave up for adoption. Loren and I are adopting her three children and now this baby went to a new home. I'm so sad. I do not know where to write about it or put my feelings down, so I figured here is as good as anywhere.. I wish my heart wasn't hurting so badly, but it is, this hit me so much harder than I ever expect. Danielle's choices in the last 2-3 years have not been good choices. She picks all the wrong people to attach herself to and then wonders why her life is not ideal. Tonight Saundra my daughter in law text me, she told me about the baby, he weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 19 inches long. my daughter in law said he had a full head of dark hair. She said that he was doing well and she said that Danielle wanted me there, she just wanted her mommy. That broke my heart in two. I'm so so sad, I have not talked to Danielle in 2 years, it has been such a difficult thing for me. I can't even begin to express how her choices have hurt so many people. I wish she would just put her life in order so that she can find peace and be happy. Tonight I think that the accumulation of the last two years has hit me like a ton of bricks. I know that this can't be easy for Danielle. Saundra said that Danielle had the baby, after he was cleaned up and everything was good, she held him for an hour and then called the adoptive parents in and turned him over to them. She already after 1 hour gave him up...as a mother I can not imagine that at all, but as her mother I just wish I could have been there to help her through this, but sadly that was not the case. I'm giving myself tonight to fall apart, and tomorrow I'm going to pick myself up and be strong for these sweet kids we have! They are adorable, but tonight while they sleep, I'm going to grieve for the brother that they will never know and the mother that they lost. I'm having a very difficult time.

Paiges Blessing!

Paige looked so beautiful in her dress that Grandma Rose and Aunt Susan made!
Rhonda and I have been friends for 25 years this year, so we took a picture while we were at Laura's in-laws for breakfast after the blessing!
We might not look like we did 25 years ago, but we're still great friend!

Brittney is one of laura's best friends from high school.
Rhonda and four of her nine children Jessa, Jayclynn, Jared and Jamie
My mom away from home Bonnie! Bonnie has been my 2nd mom since we moved to Bountiful in December of 1993, she has been such a strength to me through some very difficult times...

While we were in Utah Paige was blessed, she was beautiful and the say was just a nice wonderful day for her.

Taylor's Utah birthday.

Taylor and Aurellia are best friends and the same age, there would not be a good birthday if they were not together!
Saundra and Paige...so dang cute!

Laura made Taylor a strawberry cake for her strawberry shortcake theme!

We had a birthday party at Laura's house for Taylor, the night started out to be great, but Loren's plane was delayed by hours, and Matthew's van got a flat tire; however, at 10 pm we had a GREAT birthday for Taylor! She didn't care that it was late, we had a fun time anyway!

Fur Elise

Connor has been taking Piano for a year and a half. He has always loved the music of Fur Elise, so he talked his piano teacher into teaching him this music, even though he was not on this level yet. So, she taught him one measure at a time, he is still learning, but he LOVES this piece and plays as much as he can!

St Patricks day!

For Saint Patricks day I made green scrambled eggs and toast with green butter, it looked aweful! Aubrey and Connor didn't have any problem eating, but Taylor was like no way! Last year I made green pancakes they were a much bigger hit!

Renee came to visit!!!

Renee came to visit in March to look for a place for them to live. She was here 4 days and I only remembered to take pictures the last day right before we took her to the airport. Aubrey and Taylor are recieving watches that she brought for them. They were in heaven. We had so much fun with Renee here, minus Sandie coming down with bronchitis, but trying not to be a party pooper, she made sure they did fun things.

Scouts

Connor joined cub scouts when he turned eight in July of 2010. It took me 8 months to order his uniform, he was so excited he asked me to take pictures of him. Now, I hope it doesn't take me another eight months to sew on his patches...I do not have a sewing machine. Poor kid, I did so much better with my boys, then I am with him.
