It took me eight years to climb the Astoria Column, but I finally made it. It isn't that it was all that hard, but I was all that out of shape. My mom and I took it slow, I figured it my 72 year old mother was going to climb it, then surely I could do it! Also, if you look at that bridge in the background of some of the pictures, it also took me eight years to drive over that. It was at night so It made it much easier. I hope it will be a lifetime before do that again, I hate bridges!
